Louboutin celebrates 20th anniversary with first retrospective

Louboutin celebrates 20th anniversary with first retrospective
To celebrate 20 years in the luxury shoe industry, Christian Louboutin has announced the launch of its first ever UK retrospective exhibition next year. The show takes place at the Design Museum and will run from March 28-July 1. It includes an in-depth insight into the design process, detailing how the shoe is made from beginning to end with a special focus on the origins of the trademark sole. Visitors also get to find out how the brand approaches sales, store design and marketing, as Louboutin famously does not advertise. Various themes will be highlighted as part of the exhibition, including fairytale, travel, fantasy and the showgirl, alongside a special section featuring the specially-designed shows for the renowned Cartier show in 2007. The Louboutin retrospective is being created by the team behind the interior of Shoreditch House and the Christian Louboutin pop-up at Selfridges.
